There was no joy and some tears last Saturday when UUJ lost their second leg
home match in the European Volleyball Cup match in the University of Ulster
Jordanstown.
It's a fact that the WM Hill (B&D) pool league is now recognised as
the number one in the province and with 38 teams on cue each week playing
over three divisions, the style of play is out of the top drawer.
Ards finished off last season in the most dramatic fashion when they claimed
the Belfast Telegraph teletots shield and last weekend they started '07/'08
in top form.
Great news this week from the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure, which
is responsible for public fisheries in Northern Ireland. The River Bush is
having its best run of salmon for nearly 20 years.
This year's "Piper of the Year" invitational competition was held
last Saturday in the Adair Arms Hotel Ballymena.
