Moyola were the first to threaten and a free kick from Moore was just inches
over the bar.
McKinney collected the ball in midfield and played a great ball through to
Burnside. The ball ricocheted to Hadden whose shot was tipped over the bar
by Rea.
Ballymoney made it third time lucky in their next attack. McKinney beat two
men in the box and pulled the ball back to Burnside. His first effort was
cleared off the line but he slammed the rebound past Rea to make it 1-0.
Ballymoney almost got their second goal of the game when a free kick to the
back post was headed into the danger zone by David Gage. Burnside reacted
quickest but his shot on the turn was well saved again by Rea.
Ballymoney got the second half off to the perfect start when Surgenor scored
with a terrific free kick from 20-yards which went in off the post.
Moyola got back into the game against the run of play when Moore headed home
an excellent cross by Workman.
