Moyola Park 0 Wakehurst 2
Saturday, April 26, 2008
Early pressure by Wakehurst paid off after just five minutes when Philip
Williamson fired home from close-range.
The visitors should have been two up on 24 minutes with a Stephen Mellon
drive but Park keeper Martin Rea pulled off a fine block.
Wakehurst continued to control play and succeeded in pinning Moyola into
their own half for the remainder of the half.
Mellon missed stretching the lead for 'Hurst from an indirect free-kick just
before the interval.
The home side looked livelier in the second-half with Lee Workman firing
over on 51 minutes.
Three minutes later Aaron Meharg was denied by the Wakehurst keeper Ryan
Martin.
But Scott Drummond brought the visitors back into the game in the 73rd
minute with a super strike into the far corner of the net which sealed
victory and the three points.
