Tobermore United 2 Lurgan Celtic 2
Saturday, April 26, 2008
Lurgan Celtic took the lead in the 18th minute when Donal McCourt rifled
home a penalty awarded for handball.
Tobermore's Paul Owens just missed the target on the half-hour from an
indirect free-kick.
And Owens shot over the bar nine minutes later with a super right-footed
effort.
Gavin Doherty equalised on the stroke of half-time when he side-footed in a
super Ian Crockett cross from the right wing.
Tobermore increased the pressure after the restart with Stephen Lamont
producing a fine solo run to hit the side netting on 57 minutes.
The home side took the lead in the 65th minute when Stewart McCallum headed
in a Doherty corner cross.
Tobermore's Niall Cooke had the ball in the net in the 70th minute only to
have it ruled offside.
But Celtic did level in the 74th minute with a simple tap-in by Gavin Gowdy
who was set-up in front of goal by Ryan Murphy.
